Streamlined magnetic-based recovery of biologicals

MAGic BioProcessing’s proprietary technology revolutionises biologics recovery by integrating clarification and product capture into a single, scalable operation. Using magnetic beads to isolate target molecules from complex product feeds, combined with our automated magnetic separator system, our platform seamlessly bridges upstream and downstream workflows to boost process efficiency.

MAGic™Beads

Super-paramagnetic beads.

MAGic™Accio Systems

Fully scalable magnetic separator system.

Our products

Unleash the power of next-generation magnetic separation with super-paramagnetic MAGic™ Beads crafted from high-surface agarose resins in combination with MAGic™ Accio magnetic separator systems – at any scale.

MAGic™ Beads

Super-paramagnetic beads made from high-surface agarose resins, available for a large variety of applications.

MAGic™ Accio systems

Magnetic separator systems from research and pilot-scale to full production, optimized for use with MAGic™Beads.

Design your own MAGic™ Beads

Surface-activated MAGic™ Beads ACT allows you to couple ligands in-house. Any ligand containing amino groups or thiols, e.g. proteins and peptides can be covalently bound to the beads using a simple sustainable process, for use in for example affinity purification or immunoprecipitation. Or let our team do it for you with our MAGic™ Beads Custom service.

Applications

Our versatile MAGic™ Beads technology is already established and proven in a number of application areas including monoclonal antibody production and cell therapies.

Monoclonal antibodies

Monoclonal antibody manufacturing faces many challenges, especially during clarification. High cell densities often lead to insufficient removal during centrifugation, clog filters and/or add steps that reduces yields and increase costs. Magnetic separation solves these problems by combining clarification and product capture in one streamlined step, replacing centrifugation, filtration, and affinity column-chromatography while boosting yields, throughput, and cost efficiency.

Cell therapy

Cell therapies, especially allogeneic hiPSC-based therapies, show promise for severe diseases due to self-renewal, differentiation, and ethical advantages. However, their complex manufacturing process present significant barriers that restrict patient access, including high costs and scale-up challenges as well as ensuring patient safety by removal of undifferentiated cells. Magnetic separation streamlines cell isolation, improving efficiency and scalability.
